Adult Winter 2026

Using precut wooden outlines, participants will choose from a wide selection of crushed glass to create their own colorful design. Once the glass is chosen and in place within the form, they will learn how to properly mix and add the resin to their design. The designs and kits are created with travel in mind, so the participants can carry their creation home safely while waiting for the resin to cure. After 24 hours, they will remove the backing from their project and reveal a beginner-friendly form of colorful glass art.

Katherine Peterson

Katherine’s passion for stained glass art began after attending her one and only class at the age
of nine. She dabbled in the artform throughout her youth, creating projects for 4H and as gifts for
her friends and family. After graduating high school, Katherine joined the United States Marine
Corp and glass work had to take a backseat. Once her military service was completed, Katherine settled
in Wyoming in 2001, and learned very quickly that she needed a hobby to pass the long winters.
Glass art returned to her life and she spent the majority of her free time in her makeshift home
studios. In the summer of 2022, Katherine had the opportunity to purchase the craft and fabric
store located in Big Piney. She reopened the store that fall, adding a few more craft supplies,
offering classes, and displaying her completed stained glass pieces for sale. Katherine continues to
offer beginner stained glass workshops in addition to other art classes in her shop studio. --
