Youth Enrichment Courses
Students will have the opportunity to learn Nordic Ski techniques, from two of Pinedale's ski veterans. This outdoor course will be held at the "Meadows" at White Pine Ski Resort. In addition to learning ski techniques, students will also learn equipment functions. STUDENTS MUST COME PREPARED with their own fitted ski's, boots and poles. We recommend renting these from the Great Outdoor Shop to ensure proper fitting. Please do not wax your skis prior to the class, as the instructor will touch on waxing techniques. Please dress appropriately for The Wyoming Outdoors; hats, gloves, warm socks, and comfortable warm clothing, sunscreen and sunglasses.
Terry and Mike are veterans to Nordic Skiing in Pinedale. They both were on the Pinedale Middle School and High School Nordic Ski Teams, where they excelled and became Wyoming State Champions, and then advanced to the Jr. Nationals Competition. Their love for the sport continues as Mike grooms all the ski trails, and both Terry and Mike can be found skiing these trails nearly everyday in the winter.
