My husband and I have lived all over Wyoming, most recently living in Gillette where we moved from in June of 2024. My husband, Shawn, grew up in Pinedale and we lived here for many years before moving to Rock Springs and then Gillette. While in Gillette, I worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional at an elementary school with students aged Kindergarten to Sixth Grade. I have worked with children of all ages; from being an infant room teacher to working After School Programs, there isn’t much I haven’t done or seen. My most recent experience as an After School Teacher was at YWCA in Rock Springs. I was able to build on an already existing program and add my own ideas, including STEM, reading, writing, and social skills. I have a Yellow Lab mix named Arlo and a Dachshund mix named Chewbacca. I am a Star Wars fan, a Harry Potter nerd, a reader, a writer, and love to spend time outside. When the weather is warm, my husband and I spend many hours hiking or at the lake. Christmas is my favorite time of year and I always decorate right after Thanksgiving is over! My education consists mainly of learning on the job and trainings, however I do plan to go back to school to receive my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I love teaching and consider myself a teacher and a mentor.
