Kids Clay with Mrs. A
Youth Enrichment -
Hey kids - can’t get enough clay in the regular art classroom? Me too! Join me for some intensive sessions where you get to really explore your own ideas using clay! I’m offering six sessions in July and August where you will have the opportunity to experiment with, explore and create pottery using hand-building techniques, such as pinch, modeling, coil, and slab. We’ll make our own texture stamps, explore color and line on surfaces and create pottery you can take home to use, or give as gifts! Can’t wait to see you!
Growing up in Northern Colorado enjoying hunting, fishing, and all things related to wide open spaces, Cristy Anspach earned a BA in Art Education and another in Painting, then came to Wyoming to teach art in public schools in 1991. As the art teacher at Pinedale Elementary for the last 20 years, she’s enjoyed encouraging and facilitating creativity and artistic growth among hundreds of Pinedale’s youth. Cristy recently completed a MA in Art Education and has been shifting to a more choice-based and student-led way of thinking about art education. Maintaining an active studio practice in painting, sculpture, fibers and clay, while helping and encouraging others through the challenges and satisfactions of being a maker are the driving forces that guide Cristy’s intent.
